Video Conference Tool – UX/UI Redesign

Improving how people connect and collaborate in virtual spaces.

This project focused on improving an internal video conference tool used by employees across a large international technology company.

I redesigned the interface and interaction patterns, simplifying layouts, improving accessibility and aligning visuals with the brand's design system. I also worked closely with product owners to refine how features were presented and prioritised.

Approach

Research & Mapping – Analysed usage patterns and collected feedback from internal teams to identify friction points in meeting setup, screen sharing and accessibility.

Wireframing & Prototyping – Designed new layouts that improved visual hierarchy, navigation and the clarity of actions, with a focus on reducing cognitive load during calls.

Testing & Iteration – Ran usability sessions with employees across departments and iterated where user flows or interaction timing caused confusion.

Implementation & Handoff – Delivered high-fidelity prototypes and design documentation for the development team, ensuring accessibility and visual consistency.

The outcome was a cleaner, more intuitive tool that improved usability, visual harmony and team communication.
